Caparo T1

The Caparo T1 is a British mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-seat automobile built by Caparo Vehicle Technologies, founded by design director Ben Scott-Geddes and engineering director Graham Halstead, engineers formerly involved in the development of the McLaren F1.

The T1 was inspired by Formula One design, and intended as a relatively affordable street legal race car. The T1 was scheduled for production in mid-2007 for a price of GB£235,000 (approx. US$480,000 or €328,000, c.2007), with approximately 25 cars per year built.

Giugaro Mustang Concept

In 2005, Italian car designer Fabrizio Giugiaro, from the world renowned Giugiaro car design family, went to the Ford Motor Company with a passion to design a future concept inspired by the sixth generation Ford Mustang. As the styling director of Italdesign – Giugiaro S.P.A., Fabrizio is continuing the Italdesign design tradition known for his bold designs for Fiat, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Volkswagen, Mazda, Lotus and Bugatti. The original Giugiaro, Giorgetto, was instrumental in designing the 1965 Bertone Mustang and the Chevrolet Corvette Moray.

The result of Italdesign’s years of experience in car design and collaboration with Ford is the Giugiaro Mustang concept car that debuted at the 2006 Los Angeles International Auto Show.

Orca C113

The Orca Engineering Ltd. Company is based in Switzerland and after fifteen years of design and development, Rene Beck and his father introduced the Orca C113.

To keep weight to a minimum, the vehicle is adorned with exotic, light-weight and rugged material such as carbon fiber and an aluminum chassis. A turbocharged Volvo five-cylinder engine was placed behind the driver and powered the rear wheels. The exterior design is very angular and achieved a low level of drag.

In 2005, the production version of the C113 revisited Geneva. Much had changed; an Audi twin-turbocharged eight cylinder engine had replaced the Volvo five-cylinder unit. Zero-to-sixty is said to take around three seconds and top speed being achieved at over 220 mph.

McLaren p11, p12, f2, concept

It is thought that the company is currently developing a new supercar as a successor to the 240 mph (390 km/h) McLaren F1, codenamed P11. These rumours were confirmed when Britain's CAR Magazine and icars.sg published the spy shots of the car.

The magazine suggests that the car will be powered from a mid-mounted V8 engine (possibly a 6.2-litre AMG engine), rear wheel drive, a carbon fiber chassis and bodywork and a Conran-designed interior. Also present will be F1-inspired technology like carbon/ceramic brakes and a semi-auto gearbox.

The car is set to be launched in 2010 and is aimed at the Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo which suggests a price between £150,000 and £170,000.

Lotec C 1000

Originally conceived in 1994 with construction completed in 1995 by a United Arab Emirates citizen who desired to own the fastest, individually owned car in the world.

He contracted Mercedes which in turn also contacted Lotec for the body design. The letter C stands for the carbon fiber (race car), and the number 1000 stands for 1000 horsepower. Power plant powered by Mercedes and body design by Lotec. Power plant consists of 5.6 liter V-8 Mercedes engine, with Garrett twin turbo chargers. Runs on a mixture of unleaded gas, and aviation fuel. Body consists of carbon fiber and Aerospace material frame.

Design and engineering cost over $1,000,000 and actual constuction cost was over 1,200,000 total production cost was over $2,200,000. 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds, 0-125 mph in 8.08 seconds, top speed 268 mph.
