E-Go Revolt

A newly-formed Russian coach builder named E-Go is apparently hard at work on their first offering. They're supposedly building themselves a sports car and naming it the E-Go Revolt. Precious little is known about the platform they're basing it off of other than it's Mitsubishi in origin. It seems that it will sport a 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6, the car is likely built off the 1993-1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT. That engine, E-Go claims, is pumped up to 550 HP.

Marussia

According to Russia Today, the Marussia is the brainchild of ADD-addled Nikolay Fomenko, who's got his fingers in everything from racing to theatrical acting. The Marussia starts with a tube-frame chassis onto which composite body panels are attached. The modular nature of the body carries over in the engine bay, where the car will initially launch with a 240 to 300 HP version of the Nissan VQ V6.

However, they are working on an all-electric version set for unveil sometime in the middle of this year which would debut a nanotech battery sourced from a mysterious "Russian construction bureau." This EV version of the Marussia would ticket for around $100.000 and run for a claimed 248 miles on a single charge.

Zenvo ST1

Zenvo Automotive was founded in 2004 to produce a unique hand-built supercar. The prototype was completed in December 2008 and is in the final phase of testing before production begins in 2009. The designation of the car is Zenvo ST1. Only 15 cars are to be built and will be sold to approved customers.

The Zenvo is a state-of-the-art, high performance supercar. Its 7-litre V8 engine will achieve 1104 HP and recent tests returned a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.0 seconds. Zenvo offers keyless entry, satellite navigation, power telescoping steering wheel, and leather electrically adjustable racing seats.

The Zenvo is entirely a result of Danish design. Development and production operations are coordinated in modern facilities with the very best equipment available. It is estimated that the basic cost of the car, without registration or tax, will be just over a million dollars. The cost of putting the car on the road in Denmark would be around 16 million kroner as a result of registration expenses. But Zenvo are aiming at the export market alone.

Gillet Vertigo

Tony Gillett was a successful racing driver. In 1982 he became the Belgian importer for Donkervoort, a Dutch Lotus Super Seven-styled car. In January 1990 he broke the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) record for production cars with a time of 3.85 seconds in a specially modified Donkervoort. The Vertigo has held the 0-100 km/h record for production cars at 3.1 seconds, but by now, other production cars have set the record under 3 seconds.

The first Vertigo prototype was finished in 1991. In the following two years the car was finalised for production. Two more cars were built: a second prototype to finalise production design and the first production car, which was used for certification, including the frontal crash-test, seat anchorage resistance and safety belts anchorage resistance tests.

Gillet introduced the Vertigo .5 at Brussels in January 2008, it incorporates features from the Vertigo race car used in the 2007 FIA GT race series. 25 Vertigos have been sold to date.
